Volunteer opportunities with the Arlington Heights Citizen Police Academy abound.  Members enjoy helping out in a variety of ways.

Ongoing involvement is possible in the following areas, which are standing committees of the AHCPAAA:

The organization is also called upon to support special requests for assistance from the Village Hall and the Police Department.

The Village of Arlington Heights Police Department offered the first Citizen Police Academy class in the spring of 2005.  Graduates of the third class, in the spring of 2006, formed the Alumni Association to be a beneficial resource for the Police Department and the Village of Arlington Heights.  By January of 2007, the structure of the Alumni Association was in place as a non-profit organization, with elected officers and bylaws.  Membership in the organization has increased after each of the Citizen Police Academy classes, which are offered twice per year.
